Also know by its acronym, BAN, or as Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN), BAN refers to a network of connecting mobile devices that measure body parameters, such as temperature, blood pressure, heart rate and so on. These devices can be worn either on clothing, on the skin, or in the body. Due to the small size of the nodes worn near, on or in the body, users can be monitored while at the same time going about their everyday routines. Because of their intimate nature, BANs have raised security and privacy concerns.
